Why Goats Milk

Goat Milk Benefits

The benefits of goat milk on the skin have been known for centuries and goats milk is likely one of the oldest natural cosmetics used for its soothing properties to care for and heal, dry or irritated skin. The legend has it that even Cleopatra used to bathe herself in goats milk and the story of her delicate and soft skin is still well known today.

Goats Milk Lotion
Meadowfield Skincare have formulated a goats milk moisturising lotion using goats milk from our own herd of goats on the farm. This moisturiser is such a special formula that will hydrate your skin leaving you feeling silky smooth to the touch with no greasy residue. We have produced it in three wonderful fragrances, coconut, lavender, and tea tree, each with their own benefits to the skin. All three fragrances are made with natural oils and shea butter.

Can Reduce Inflammation

Goats milk can benefit the skin from inside and out. Children and adults alike, whose skin is prone to eczema may experience less inflammation when switched from cows to goats milk. Although goats milk soaps and lotions are beneficial to your skin, it is an added bonus to include goats milk in your diet.

Rich in Nutrients and Vitamins

Goats milk is rich in nutrients and has enzymes that can break down bonds between dead skin cells, and is packed with vitamins A, D, E, and K, and minerals to assist with hydration, promoting healthy skin, and even reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Promotes Glowing Skin

Since goats milk is rich in many microelements, triglycerides, and fatty acids, it can nourish your skin and help bring out its natural healthy glow. Goats milk is rich in lactic acid, a natural exfoliant, which helps the skin return its bright and healthy glow, by ridding the skin of dead cells. The microbial, gently exfoliating qualities of lactic acid, combined with high levels of vitamin A, present in goats milk, helps keep the surface of the skin cleansed of bacteria, which in turn can help to tame the skin prone to acne.

Easy to Absorb

Goats milk has a PH close to that of human skin, making it easier to absorb than many other skincare products. It helps keep the skin moist and soft without leaving any greasy residue .

Other Beneficial Ingredients in Goats Milk Soap and Lotion

Along with the many benefits of the goats milk itself, during the production process, natural products are added to create the soaps and lotions. Each product having their own and combined benefits. Amongst these added ingredients are Shea Butter, Almond, Olive, and Coconut oils, which provide additional natural healing properties to the soaps and lotions produced here at Meadowfield. Further essential oils such as lavender oil and tea tree oils known for their soothing, antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties for skin are added to individualised the soaps and lotions.
